G-Upgraded Case Study

zantech • Technopolymer for the Shield Pro eyewear frames by Tag Heuer

How was it born?

Tag Heuer was looking for an injection-moldable material that combined strength and lightness, while also providing a unique and recognizable aesthetic to develop high-performance eyewear. They contacted us, fascinated by the idea of using graphite as a distinctive material for the design. How to use "g upgraded recycled graphite" to achieve this? We started with zantech, an injectible and versatile technopolymer that, after several tests and design studies, was refined into a custom formula to achieve the aesthetics, comfort, and performance needed for the Shield Pro eyewear frames.
